TriStar Motorsports announced today that Blake Koch will be back with TriStar Motorsports in 2016 to compete full time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

"This is a big day for TriStar Motorsports," said Mark Smith, owner of TriStar Motorsports. "We are excited to announce our continued partnership with Blake Koch and LeafFilter Gutter Protection for 2016. Blake has been a driver at TriStar since 2014 and we are looking forward to finishing out 2015 strong. LeafFilter came on board this season and they have been great partners of our racing program, so having the opportunity to continue working together in 2016 is exciting"

LeafFilter Gutter Protection first sponsored Koch in the Sprint Cup Series for two races in the fall of 2014. That led to LeafFilter sponsoring Koch in the XFINITY Series for what was slated to be 13 races. With the success of Leaf Filter and the sponsorship Matt Kaulig, Owner and President of LeafFilter, has stepped up to take over the remaining available races in 2015. In addition, LeafFilter will serve as the primary sponsor for all NXS races during the 2016 season.

"Continuing to evolve our relationship with Blake Koch and TriStar Motorsports into the 2016 NXS Season is an exciting opportunity for not only the LeafFilter Brand, but our employees and customers as well," said President and Owner of LeafFilter, Matt Kaulig. "Koch is a great representation of LeafFilter and we are proud to have him driving a successful partnership - both on and off the racetrack."

Blake Koch will make his 135th NASCAR XFINITY Series start this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, his third at the 15-turn, 2.4-mile road course. Koch has been an active driver in the NASCAR XFINITY Series since 2009.

"Ever since I first met Matt Kaulig and the LeafFilter guys, I knew it was going to be a great relationship," said Blake Koch, driver of the No. 8 car. "I am also very excited to continue my relationship with TriStar Motorsports in 2016. Mark and Kathy Smith took a chance on me two years ago, when I had very little sponsorship, so to be able to put this plan together for 2016 feels extra special."
