Detroit’s position at the center of the U.S. automotive industry makes it an ideal setting to highlight Taiwan’s longstanding role in the global automotive supply chain and opportunities for deeper collaboration with American industry leaders.
“Taiwan’s automotive technology ecosystem brings together semiconductor innovation, advanced electronics and engineering capabilities that can help automakers meet the demands of next-generation vehicles,” said Brian Lee, Executive Director of the Strategic Marketing Department of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.“Through Taiwan Excellence, we look forward to bringing Taiwan’s most innovative products to America’s OEM community and exploring how trusted technology partnerships can support innovation, resilience and long-term competitiveness.”
Participating companies include AUO Corporation, Conquer Electronics, CUB Elecparts, Delta Electronics, iBASE, Macronix, oToBrite, Pegatron, Realtek Semiconductor, and Whetron Electronics. Together, these technologies demonstrate Taiwan’s capabilities across the automotive value chain, from individual components to integrated systems supporting vehicle safety, connectivity, electrification and intelligent computing.
As automakers navigate increasingly complex vehicle architectures, evolving powertrain strategies and growing demands for reliable, secure technology sourcing, Taiwan’s combination of semiconductor expertise, electronics manufacturing and system integration offers opportunities for long-term OEM partnerships.
